Litomysl & Olbram Zoubek

→ Last Saturday me and my mum decided to go to a little town Litomysl and take a walk around. It´s a very cute town with a newly renovated castle.

Interesting is that you can find there many statues by a famous Czech artist Olbram Zoubek. His work is very specific, but I like it. He is one of the most famous Czech sculptors today.

In the cellar with Olbram´s sculptures, there is also a Heart for Vaclav Havel. Vaclav Havel is a former Czech president, who was also a very respected personality in the world. The heart is made of candles which people were lighting after his death to show him honor. You can also find there a lot of notes which people wrote for him. I liked this idea very much!

Litomysl is also a birth town of a famous Czech music composer Bedrich Smetana. We visited a house, where he was born and grew up.

You can see everything in the pictures. I´m wondering – what do you think about the sculptures of Olbram Zoubek?

P.S. You can still vote for me in the Blogger of the Year competition. If you like my blog, please vote HERE. Thank you! 🙂

P.S. Hlasování v soutěži Blogerka roku pořád běží. Pokud se vám můj blog líbí, můžete mi dát hlas TADY. Děkuji!
